Customer Challenges

The customer required a highly skilled facilitator to assist the faculty in the development of their strategy.  This strategy had to have a clear alignment to the Universities strategy.  The requirement was to provide a clear & simple template to enable the strategy to be cascaded across the faculty with a robust governance process.  This process needed to drive priorities & successful delivery of the strategy.

Our Solutions

  • Introduce senior faculty members to the Strategy development using the Hoshin Kanri model (Lean tool)
  • Using this model, it allows the teams to cascade the UL Strategy into the faculty & then into the schools/ departments within the faculty.
  • This model allows to identify clear gaps (if any) while ensuring the capture of measures of success
  • This led to the development of a dashboard for programs which drove the Governance process to enable the delivery of such strategy

Outcomes

  • Development of a clear, concise & relevant strategy aligned to the University & across the faculty
  • Roadmap of programs across the 3 years with clear measures of success
  • A governance process to drive progress & alignment to the strategy

Feedback

  • "Clear & consistent framework"
  • "Easy to see the gaps in the different areas due to the layout"
